For those interested in a real paradise and endemic wildlife, there are a few places quite as fascinating as The Galapagos Islands.

Those islands propose different sites that are amazingly varied in their scenery and vegetation, and many first-class snorkeling and diving spots offer the chance to see the diverse underwater life.

Galapagos has 2 seasons: the dry that runs from July to December and the hot or wet season last from January through June; these seasons are also governed by oceanographic conditions.

The Galapagos is known around the world for its unique animal life, which includes numerous species found only in the archipelago and different subspecies on separate islands.
 
Here you will find six species of giant tortoise, other reptiles on the islands include two species of large lizards in the iguana family; 85 different species of birds, including flamingos, flightless cormorants, finches, penguins, masked boobies, waved albatross, lava heron, red footed boobies and many others; sea lions are numerous, as are many different shore fish. Galapagos is a wildlife sanctuary.

The best way to experience The Galapagos is by cruising between the islands, there is variety of Live-Aboard vessels available with special itineraries; we offer cruises for 8 or 5 days, which you can enjoy the land visits in each islands, with an authorized guide who will show you one of the most enchanting wildlife spectacles in the world. Baltra
Small island located at north of Santa Cruz; main Airport is situated here, place for arrivals and departures from / to Quito or Guayaquil.
Santa Cruz
Darwin Research Station is on this island, it is the main center of conservation and preservation of the Galapagos species.

Puerto Ayora is a little town on the southern coast; this island has beautiful beach, the highlands (tortoise reserve), Los Gemelos there is large variety of aquatic birds and land iguanas are the main attractions of Santa Cruz.
Plazas

On South Plazas Island the most picturesque in the archipelago is possible to see sea lions colony, cactus ground finches, swallow-tailed gulls, land iguanas and an interesting vegetation life which changes color in different seasons.

Santa Fe
Here, you will find lava lizards, land iguanas, green turtles, some birds as blue-footed boobies, red-billed tropicbirds, Galapagos mockingbirds and petrels; vegetation on the island includes Palo Santo and the giant cactus.
San Cristobal
Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, the capital of Galapagos Province is on this Island; just one hour north of the Island’s capital by boat is located rocky and tiny “Lobos Islet” which is the main sea lion and blue-footed boobies colony. Punta Pitt is other visitor’s site; it is located at the northern edge of the island.
Española
Punta Suarez and Gardner Bay are the visitor’s sites of Española Island; Punta Suarez on the western end of the island you will find the opportunity to find masked, blue-footed boobies, mockingbirds, hawks, large cactus finches, endemic birds and sea iguanas.

This is the only island where the waved albatrosses can be observed nesting and doing their vigorous mating dance.

Gardner Bay is a good place for diving and snorkeling.
Floreana
Pink flamingos inhabiting an lagoon are the island’s colorful attraction; tropic bird, penguin, yellow warbler, ruddy turnstone, black necked stilt, medium tree finches and willets are some of the birds that inhabitant this island.

Post Office Bay one of the most popular point on the island, because in the 18th century the whalers opened an unofficial post office in a barrel; it has been in service ever since and the reason of its name. Devil’s Crown and Champion are excellent dive sites; both are known for its spectacular underwater scenery. Punta Cormorant, from here you have an easy walk to see the flamingos that inhabit a brackish water lagoon and other birds like ducks, stilts and sandpipers.
Isabela
This is the largest island in the archipelago; Isabela Island has five active volcanoes which give visitors a chance to trekking. Along the shoreline there are penguins, pelicans, flightless cormorants, finches, blue winged teals, striated herons and boobies.

There are interesting points for visiting: volcano Wolf (1.707 m.a.s.l), Punta Vicente Roca (snorkeling area), Cape Berkeley (Coral reefs) and Tagus Cove where early sailors frequently anchored.
Fernandina
It is the third largest island and the most westerly; this island is inhabitant for one of the greatest concentrations of sea iguanas, Galapagos penguins, flightless cormorants and sea lions.
Santiago
James Bay is home of colony of fur seals, Darwin finches, doves and Galapagos hawks abound here, besides James Bay has excellent snorkeling sites where moray eels, sharks and octopus may be found.
Rabida
It is located south of Santiago.

There is a wet landing onto a dark red sand beach; Sea lions, pelicans, several species of finches and flamingos are commonly found in this island.
Bartolome
Probable this island has the most beautiful landscapes of Galapagos Islands: Sullivan Bay and Pinnacle Rock.

Colonies of penguins and sea lions; its beach is an excellent place to practice snorkeling and swimming.
Genovesa
Genovesa is home to frigates, red-footed boobies, tropicbirds, lava gulls, doves and thousands of storm petrels.

Darwin Bay (formed by a collapsed volcano) and Prince Philip’s Steps are the visitor’s sites of Genovesa Island.
North Seymour
Sea lions, land iguanas, frigate birds, colonies of blue-footed boobies, swallow-tailed gulls and fur seals inhabitant this island. Seymour is a good place for snorkeling and diving.
Darwin & Wolf

Also known as, Wenman & Culpepper respectively, these two islets are inhabited only by seabirds and are rarely visited. However, both are so famous to be an excellent diving site for experienced divers; this option offers the best diving in the islands, the underwater world around Darwin & Wolf is an amazing universe of Galapagos’s sea life.
